"Impulsion" unicorn 63 by AmandaKathryn "Impulsion" unicorn 63 by AmandaKathryn
I gave in and painted him black....well silver, but close enough. The white ones tend to sell better, but he was just begging to be a dark one. I think It is probably because his floating trot reminds me of my horse Candi and she is very very dark bay nearly black.

(looks wistful) I'd buy him over a white one, were the money in my account free to spend on him. He's got far more character than most of the white ones, seriously!

His chest/belly area... it seems a bit deeper than it ought to be. Is that just how you do your unicorns?

typically I tend to give them a fairy narrow chest to make te legs look longer. this one is correct for a horse. A horse's front legs are supposed to be the same length as chest /belly area (its called the girth) Most horses don't measure up there, but as I said this one looks a lot like my horse and her conformation is pretty close to perfect. A deeper chest means more room for the heart and lungs and thus a more athletic horse. I assume the same would be ture for a unicorn.
